Centre for Services and Information on Disability (CSID), Bangladesh

2011 HEALTH IMPACT AWARD WINNER
ASIA-PACIFIC

Since 1997 CSID has worked in Bangladesh to promote the rights of disabled people and fight for their inclusion in society. CSID uses a combination of holistic and practical approaches to ensure that the most vulnerable people within the marginalised disabled community have access to education and employment. They work closely with school authorities, local government and businesses to ensure that not only are health and rehabilitation services available, but also that disabled children and adults have access to education, vocational training, and fairly paid employment.
