2007 STARS Impact Awards
On 16 November 2007, three African charities became the first ever recipients of the STARS Impact Awards.
Selected for making a demonstrable difference to the lives of disadvantaged children, the organisations from South Africa, Tanzania and Zimbabwe each received US$100,000 of unrestricted funding, as well as consultancy support.
The organisations received their Award at an evening reception hosted by STARS at the Foreign Press Association in London. The event was attended by more than 100 people who came to celebrate the achievements of these three special organisations. We were honoured to be joined by the distinguished international journalist Sam Kiley who chaired a panel discussion between the recipients.
